The basics of how a booking with Kalinga Rajbhog works. Your written quotation always takes precedence over this page.
Enquiries and quotations
Prices shown on this website are indicative starting prices per plate. They are not an offer and are not binding. A booking exists only when we have issued a written quotation, you have accepted it, and the agreed advance has been received.
Menus
Menus are finalised in writing before the event. Seasonal and market availability may require a substitution of comparable value; we will tell you before making one wherever possible.
Guest numbers
The plate count in your confirmed quotation is what we cook and charge for. Increases can usually be accommodated if told to us in advance; last-minute reductions below the confirmed count may still be charged.
Advance and payment
An advance confirms the date. The balance is due as set out in your quotation. Taxes, travel outside Bhubaneswar, live counters, decor and venue charges are billed separately unless the quotation says otherwise.
Cancellation
Cancellation terms, including how much of the advance is refundable and by when, are stated in your quotation. Please read them before paying.
Food safety and allergies
Please tell us about allergies and dietary requirements before the menu is finalised. Allergen notes on the menu page are a guide. Our kitchen handles nuts, dairy, wheat, mustard, egg, fish and shellfish, so we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Food is prepared for consumption at the event; we are not responsible for food taken away and consumed later.
At the venue
You or your venue are responsible for providing the agreed access time, space, water and power for counters and cooking. Delays caused by the venue may affect service timing.
